Music

To ensure high quality teaching and learning of music we follow the Charanga Scheme. We chose this scheme for 2 main reasons:

• When using the scheme and its progressive week-by-week lessons, you are guaranteed to fully meet all of the statutory requirements of the National Curriculum for Music.

• The Scheme includes lesson plans, assessments, clear progression and exciting whiteboard resources for every lesson, which support teachers for whom Music is not their specialism

• In addition, Charanga provides clear progression within the vocabulary used which supports our focus on this area and the curriculum develops the children’s cultural capital.
